Here’s your SIX FREE TIPS to hiring
a good and honest carpet cleaner…

Ask these questions:

  1. What Guarantee do you offer?

  2. Are you a member of any association?

  3. Are you insured?

  4. Are you certified and licensed at carpet steam cleaning?

  5. Is the price you quote me over the phone going to be the same price I pay when you finish cleaning my carpets?

  6. Why should I choose you from any other carpet cleaner?

Even though these five questions are exceptionally good questions, they are useless if you don't ask to see written proof. What carpet cleaners tell you over the phone these days and what they deliver are usually two completely different things.

“Carpet Cleaners Dirty Tricks Exposed”

"You've Been Lied-To...
And Ripped-Off...
For The Very Last Time..."

Here’s Their Top 5 Dirty Tricks

You‘re usually quoted an inexpensive price over the phone. Sometimes even up to 7 or 8 times cheaper than other carpet cleaners. They quote you low BUT bump the price up later once in your home. It’s called bait and switch. In some countries it’s totally illegal.

You explicitly requested for a certified and licensed trained professional. But when they arrived at your home (if you remembered to ask) they didn’t have any proof that they were accredited, licensed professionals…just their word. A true professional will always carry or be able to prove they are licensed technicians. Could you see yourself hiring an un certified electrician? Are your carpets not one of the most expensive items you own? Then perhaps you should ask to see proof of their certifications.

Have you asked to see a written Guarantee? Most of these con artists will tell you over the phone they have one BUT when they arrive at your home they have nothing. A good, honest and highly regarded carpet cleaner will always have a Written Guarantee. If they are not prepared to back up their work in writing then you might want to consider hiring someone who does.

Are they using portable carpet cleaning machines or quality truck mounts? Ask them this question… Some of the larger and newer truck mounts (valued at around $50,000) will out perform their smaller and older predecessors by a staggering amount. A portable can never come close to a good quality truck mount carpet cleaning machine. It’s like trying to compare a push bike to a motor bike on the race track…there is just no comparison. The carpet cleaner will try and trick you into believing the portable, semi detachable or small truck mount is just as good but it just is NOT. Insist on a good quality truck mount to be used

It’s not unusual for a carpet cleaner to lie to you so ask them questions and ask them the same questions when they come to your home. Unfortunately this industry is full of liars and scammers…And unless you have the guidance of an industry professional or you’re experienced in the carpet cleaning field you just won’t know until it’s too late.

Hello, I needed a carpet cleaner and looked on your webpage and rang “Sydney Wide Steam Cleaning” one of your recommended carpet cleaners.   Tony the owner/operator has just finished cleaning my carpets and I am delighted.  He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional.  He quoted me a price over the phone and did not charge a penny more.  He did an excellent job and I will definitely use his services again and pass on his name to friends and family.  I had a very bad experience with carpet cleaners in the United States and know now to use web sites like yours to get good advice. Thanks from a very satisfied customer.

It's about time there was a guide like this. I have been a genuine and honest carpet cleaner for many years and I am often shot down in flames because I initially quote an honest price rather than a cheap and deceptive price over the phone.
